Family photography is a personal choice...
The Style of Photography.
Is it what you are looking for?
Is it fresh?
Does it spark emotion?
Most importantly, do you like the photographer's portfolio?
Where will the session be held? Studio, your home, or a beauty spot near you?
Will the session be strictly timed to suit your tight schedule, or will the photographer give time for your family's needs and for children to adjust?
Will it be fun and relaxed?
Do you prefer to be completely posed in your photographs (traditional portrait style), guided into formations or into an activity (lifestyle), left completely natural doing your own thing (documentary), or a combination of any of these?
Are the options and prices available to you before your session?
Do you have to invest in packages, have a minimum spend or can you choose exactly what you want?
Are the products high quality or budget?
Will the products suit your home?
Will the photographer speak or meet with you before the session to answer any questions?
Is the photographer personable?
Is the photographer local (consider any travel costs)?
Do you get along? You should aim to find a photographer you can and are happy to work with - and most of all are comfortable with.
