Mini sessions at the Dummer Faery Festival
I have been a bit quiet all week, concentrating on processing the photographs from the Faeryology Dummer Faery Festival...but here is my rundown on the weekend.
Wow, what a fantastic event - well done Faeryology for organising the event. I set up my stand at the Dummer Faery Festival on Friday afternoon (with the help of my good friend Laura) and camped there until Sunday. My woodland-themed pop-up studio was about five hours in the making and went down very well with the festival attendees. I was so lucky to be in amongst some lovely stall holders which added to the friendly atmosphere of the weekend, Fairyrings Jewellery, Purple Giraffe Crystals and Henna Haven by Namisha. And, I cannot thank my own helpers at the festival enough...so thank you to my good friend Laura and my husband for all your help.
I was delighted to take photographs of beautiful families and individuals, ranging from children and families to fantastically dressed fairies. The informal woodland scene really lent itself to any everyday dress type and fairy costumes alike. In a festival environment, the woodland-theme was as close as I could recreate on-location photography in a fixed environment and I am so pleased with the results.
I met some lovely families and individuals at the festival. Thank you to all who visited, those I photographed and those I spoke to. I hope you too enjoyed the festival. I am very excited and honoured to be able to share a few photographs from the festival mini sessions.
